Meet New INFOBIT iTrans UC-HUB2U — USB/HDMI Switcher and Mixer

INFOBIT has expanded its range of signal distribution equipment with the new iTrans UC-HUB2U switcher. The product allows switching between three sources (1 x USB 3.0, 1 x USB 2.0, 1 x HDMI) and mixing two of them into a single image, providing one HDMI output for a local monitor and one USB-C output for a PC for web conferencing or live streaming.

The iTrans UC-HUB2U is a cost-effective and easy-to-use solution for remote training, video conferencing, webinars or streaming that comes in handy for multi-camera installations or projects where you need to capture HDMI signals (e.g. laptop or document camera) to the video mixing desk along with the cameras. It is capable of simultaneously capturing and mixing two or three video sources into a single USB stream with audio and glitch-free switching between them. The mixed layout can be defined as picture in picture, side by side, large and small.

The product requires no driver installation, works on all USB 3.0 motherboards and chipsets and features two USB inputs, one HDMI input, analogue stereo line-level audio input, analogue stereo line-level audio output, an internal USB 3.0 hub with two USB 3.0 expansion ports and a USB 3.0 host connector. A mute function is provided for video conferencing or live streaming. The switcher supports resolutions up to 1080p@60 (for USB and HDMI inputs), most computer graphics formats and is compatible with UVC as well as Windows, OSX and Linux operating systems. The analogue stereo audio inputs and line level outputs are in two-channel LPCM format.

The device can be controlled via LAN and RS-232. Power can be supplied via PoE. The new product is designed in a compact and slim case with a height of only 18 mm.
